Ballarat and District Water Supply System Maintenance
Central Highlands Water will be conducting ongoing maintenance to the Ballarat and District water supply system commencing early April, 2017, for approximately two months.
The works will impact residents supplied by Central Highlands Water through the Ballarat and District system.
During the works period, Central Highlands Water will be temporarily changing the method of disinfection used to treat the water and flushing the water mains network. There may also be an increased presence of our maintenance crews in the area
Towns impacted by the program include Ballarat and suburbs, Ballan, Bungaree, Buninyong, Cambrian Hill, Cardigan Village, Carngham, Corindhap, Creswick, Dereel, Enfield, Flagstaff Hill, Gordon, Haddon, Invermay, Linton, Magpie, Mt Egerton, Napoleons, Nintingbool, Pittong, Rokewood, Ross Creek, Rowsley, Scarsdale, Skipton, Smythes Creek, Smythesdale, Snake Valley, Yendon, Wallace, Warrenheip and Windermere.
Some of our customers may experience a slight difference in taste and odour however, water supplied will continue to meet required drinking water standards and presents no risk to public health.

The water mains maintenance program is now approximately 95% complete. Works are anticipated to finish 26 May, 2017.
