Buying or selling a commercial property
When you buy or sell a property your solicitor or conveyancer will notify us of the sale and carry out all the necessary searches and requests on your behalf.
They must notify us in writing by submitting a notice of acquisition (for purchaser) or disposition (for vendor).
They must also apply (and pay charges) at least 5 business days before the settlement date so that we can determine:
- Certificate of rates and charges
- Sewer location diagram or statement of unavailability of sewer connection
- Sanitary drainage diagram
- Special water meter reading on specifically required date (during business hours)
If the property is new, contact Central Highlands Water to install a meter.
You may also need to organise a Trade Waste Agreement.
