Stephen Answerth, General Manager Capital Delivery & Key Corporate Projects

Mr Stephen Answerth

Stephen joined Central Highlands Water in November 2015 bringing over 20 years of industry experience in both public and private organisations. He has worked across the whole water infrastructure lifecycle - planning, capital delivery, asset management, operations and maintenance in both urban and regional settings.

At Central Highlands Water, Stephen is responsible for overseeing major capital works and key projects to ensure delivery of water, wastewater and recycled water across the business.

Qualifications: BEng (Civil), Post Grad Dip (Construction Management)

Paul Clark, General Manager Customer and Community

Paul Clark

Paul joined Central Highlands Water as Manager – Customer Contact Centre in 2010. In December 2014 he was appointed General Manager – Customer and Community.

Prior to joining the corporation he held senior business development roles in the banking and finance sector. In 2014 he was awarded the SACS Consulting/Central Highlands Water Leadership Award.

Paul’s responsibilities incorporate customer contact, media representation, marketing programs, metering, land development, customer accounts and network field services.

Qualifications: MBA, AdvDip (BusMgt), AdvDip (FinPl)

Michele le Noury, Acting General Manager People and Culture

Michele is qualified as a lawyer having previously worked in private practice, banking and for a trade union prior to moving to the Victorian Public Sector where she managed industrial relations as an HR Business Partner in the Department of Justice and Department of Primary Industries.

Michele has also has previous experience working in the education and not-for-profit sectors prior to her joining CHW in 2014.

Simon Conwell, Acting General Manager Business Services 

 

Simon joined Central Highlands Water in July 2014 bring over 30 years’ experience in finance and banking from private organisations, with the last 16 years in Senior Management leading large teams.

He has experience in all commercial matters, finance, banking, business development and project management and worked closely with communities in regional areas of Victoria and Western Australia.

At Central Highlands Water Simon in responsible for finance, IT, corporate governance, business analytics contracts and purchasing.

Qualifications: B.Comm - Bachelor of Commence with a dual major in Accounting and Marketing

Jeff Haydon, General Manager Infrastructure, Planning and Operations

Jeff Haydon

Jeff joined Central Highlands Water in May 2009 having come from the City of Ballarat where he was Director of Infrastructure. Before moving to Ballarat, Jeff was a consultant in the role of Team Leader Systems Planning with MWH where he delivered projects for water authorities nationally and overseas. Jeff commenced his career with Yarra Valley Water in the engineering graduate development program.

He is responsible for managing water and wastewater treatment, surface and ground water supply systems, Superpipe operations, the health and sustainability of our catchments, long term planning and our laboratory services.

Anthony O'Brien, Project Director, Pricing Plan

Anthony O'Brien

Appointed to the role in January 2012, Anthony joined Central Highlands Water having spent 12 years at Telstra where he occupied several senior executive positions, including managing their corporate planning and investor relations.

A qualified accountant with a strong background in business analysis and leading high performing teams, Anthony’s responsibilities incorporate finance, IT, corporate governance, contracts and purchasing.
